Pretty interesting assessment right? Well, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal, Netflix is working on a live-action Legend of Zelda television show.

The WSJ cites “a person familiar with the matter,” saying Netflix described the show as “Game of Thrones for a family audience.” The Zelda games themselves already have an innocent tone to them, even when they aren’t so innocent at times. Point being, a show doesn’t sound too far out-of-line.

The report says Netflix series is based on a boy named Link who must rescue Princess Zelda and save the land of Hyrule. Seems as though they would keep in the original direction that most Zelda games have went. However, as far as the production goes, the series also reported they don’t have a writer yet. With that said, it may be a long while before this will happen (if it happens).

Apparently, Netflix refused to comment on the WSJ’s report. So we don’t have a lot to work with [yet].
